VEGAN AND CONVENTIONAL DOUGHNUTS ARE NOT FRIED TOGETHER

What are they fried in?
100% Canola oil. After testing a few different oils, I found canola to be the best for the doughnut’s flavor and texture.

Can I get doughnuts on a Wednesday (or any day that isn’t Fri-Sat-Sun)?
Potentially! Friday through Sunday is always your best bet because these babies are labor intensive and I’m trying to live my best life and keep a five-day work-week. If you’re reaching out about a non-weekend doughnut day, there is a larger order minimum. Feel free to submit your orders of 2 dozen or more doughnuts at least 72 hours before you need them. I’m happy to walk you through flavors or talk about custom flavors.

Do you do custom flavors?
For orders of two dozen or more, I’m happy to work out a custom flavor for you!

It’s Friday, and I see you’re making doughnuts this weekend. Can I put an order in for later today/tomorrow?
Nope! These doughnuts are truly a labor of love, and given that they are time-intensive, the Wednesday deadline is firm. But hey, now you’re right on time to pop in your order for the next weekend!

Can I just get one or two doughnuts?
Weekend pre-orders have a six doughnut order minimum. The best way to stay up-to-date on last minute porch-sales is on my Instagram. Check out my “events” page to stay up-to-date on organized events with other excellent makers where you can get single doughnuts (and other dreamy treats)!

For non-doughnut orders (cakes, pies, etc.), how far in advance do I need to place my order?
If you have a specific date in mind, shoot me an email as soon as ya know so I can mark my calendar. A week’s notice is nice, and two weeks’ notice super rules. Ultimately though, if you hit me up 24-36 hours before you need a cake, I might be able to do it! While chances are I’ll say, “sorry, I can’t” to those super last minute orders, I’ve also had plenty of situations where I’ve been able to make a short-notice treat or two!

What’s the accessibility of your home like?
There is a 48” wide opening in my fence with a flat, concrete pathway that leads to five concrete steps up to the front door. The steps have one railing on the left side if going up (on the right if going down). The front door is 36” wide and has a small lip on the bottom, and there is an inner 36” front door about 3 feet in from the first. My home has a dog and a cat. The cat is generally put away during doughnut pick-ups, but I frequently have the dog out and about (if you prefer not to share any space with my dog and/or cat, just say so in the email and I’ll keep them upstairs). I’m happy to bring doughnuts (or whatever treat) out to you or your vehicle if any of these things are prohibitive for you!

How are they so good?!
A combination of technique, love, and indigenous yeast. These doughnuts are laminated sourdough, which means they’ve got a little extra lift, texture, and flavor. With buttery layers like a croissant, a flavor that develops as you eat them (thanks, sourdough!), and that extra somethin’ wonderful from the eggy brioche dough, it’s a pretty dang magical doughnut. Fun fact: I didn’t particularly like doughnuts until I started making these.

Do you deliver?
Yup! The delivery fee is $10 (because I’m worth it/because I could be napping). Keep in mind that I won’t be available to deliver before 11am on Fridays and before 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
